day’s people become more concern about their food safety, ecological damages
and to eat fresh, less processed and chemical free food. That’s why; in market
demand of organic products is increasing day by day. But what is Organic?
Introduction of Organic Farming
Organic
is the way or practice of farming. It means to a way of growing and processing
food. It is also one of the dependencies on ecological system which maintain
the soil richness. Organic means the farmer don’t use any toxic pesticides,
chemical fertilizers which are polluted soil, water, air and the quality of
food decreases.
Organic
farmers practices of rotation of crops, utilizing beneficial insects by adding
organic manure, jeevamrut, beejamrut and cowdung to the soil. They also know the importance of cover
crops (mulching) which reduces evaporation of water from soil top so that main crop will
stay hydrated. This process increases the number of earthworms in soil which
are self generated and very much useful to make soil porous and aerated.
